Foot Care Service

The aim of the Foot Care Service is to provide a basic toe nail cutting
service for people over the age of 55, living in Preston, Longridge or South
Ribble, who for whatever reason are unable to cut their toe nails for
themselves. Nail cutting is provided within the persons own home by trained
staff and volunteers. Prior to commencing the service you will be assessed by Age Concern’s designated NHS Podiatrist, who ensures that you are suitable for the service We are unable to provide treatment for: * Corns * Bunions * Hard skin We are unable to provide the service for people who: * Have certain medical conditions such as diabetes or problems with circulation * Taking medication such as anticoagulants or steroids A small charge is made for this service to cover the cost of equipment and travel.
