Age Concern Preston & South Ribble has launched a chargeable Home Help Service for people over fifty. We wish to recruit caring, trustworthy and reliable individuals to join our team;

Home Help ref: HOH
Flexible hours up to 20 per week £6.00 per hour.
Applicants must be able to:
o Empathise with older people and their carers
o Work flexible hours as the needs of the service dictate
o Do housework to a high standard
o Complete necessary paperwork accurately
o Handle cash payments
o Undertake training as required
Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be given.Benefits include 28 days annual leave (pro rata), sick pay (following a qualifying period of six months) and a uniform.

18 hours per week, salary £7,098 (full time equivalent £14,197) Pay Award pending

As a member of the Flexible Outreach Service the Support Worker will have responsibility for providing a supportive and activity focused service for older adults living with memory concerns or dementia.

Applicants should have:

• A special interest in the field of memory concerns or dementia
• Good communication skills
• Experience and/or knowledge of agreeing actions and setting goals
• Empathy for and experience of working with older people
• Experience of working within the home environment
• Commitment to equality and diversity
• Full UK driving licence and use of a car for work

Benefits include 6% non contributory pension, sick pay, 30 days annual leave (pro rata), training.
