Since running a research project in 2005 on the needs of older LGBT people we
have striven to improve our services to older lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender people.
These are some of the initiatives we are involved in:
- We were awarded the Navajo charter mark in June 2006 and are currently
supporting Navajo in a funding bid for a charter mark project worker
- We regularly attend LGBT forums such as the Lancashire Sexual Equalities
Forum, the Navajo Projects group and the Age Concern National Network for
older LGBT people
- We have been involved in consultations to ensure the rights of LGBT people
are safeguarded in the new Equalities Bill.
- We are running a reminiscence project for LGBT History Month in February
2006.
If you are interested in sharing your story with us or interviewing an older
person for the project please contact us
