Volunteering with Age Concern Central Lancashire

With the energy and commitment of our volunteers, we are able to offer support and friendship to older people across Central Lancashire.  Our volunteers are key in promoting independence and helping older people feel connected. 

As well as reaching out to older people in your community, as a volunteer you may be surprised by how much you get back – laughter, new skills, the chance to meet different people, develop friendships and feel a sense of reward.  Some of our volunteers have gained valuable practical experience to support their studies, others have gained skills to help them change career whilst others have simply kept active and had fun.

You will be provided with training and support and will have the opportunity to meet other volunteers at local and organisational volunteer events which take place throughout the year.
