Staying at Home

We deliver a number of services which promote independent living, enables access to information and advice, leisure an educational activities to people 55 or over, their carers, family and friends.

This range of services is provided to meet the needs of people with lower level needs and some services are available to those who are physically active and living independently. Most services are free at the point of access, however some require a contribution from the user for the costs e.g. a charged-for Home Help service.

The core purpose of these service are to focus on rehabilitation, re-enablement and avoidance of unnecessary hospital admissions, enablement for the individual, the reduction of social isolation, the maintenance of skills, making informed choices and having the confidence to take control, whilst maintaining independent living and promoting quality of life whenever possible.
