Recent Age UK media coverage

In light of the recent media coverage regarding Age UK and its link to Eon and the sales of energy products, Linda Chivers, Chief Executive of Age Concern Central Lancashire has stated that as a local charity working across Lancashire, the charity is not part of Age UK either at a national or local level, and is in no way involved in the relationship and the sale of Eon Gas and Electricity to older people.

Whilst the charity does offer a number of products on which we receive commission this is at no extra cost to the customer and our priority is always to put the customer first. The charity also offers an important service through our Community Support and Information team which supports older people to identify products which are best suited to their needs. This service is frequently used by older people looking for best deals in insurance, with energy providers comparing gas and electric, switching providers to ensure value for money.
